    EXHUMED! is a 6 track home burned CD-R of rare outtakes & demos dug from our archives, 4 of which are unavailable anywhere else. Consisting of 2 previously unreleased rehearsal tracks, 2 live outtakes & 2 previously unreleased home demos, this CD offers a deeper insight into the creative process of THE CRABS, indicating how tracks are developed from basic ideas & how existing tracks evolve new parts. Tracks include the only known live (rehearsal) version of TIME FOR TRASH, a rehearsal demo version of UFO with extra guitar parts, the original bedroom demo for Big Momma Stroppenthwack (with Commander Crab on vocals, guitar & bass accompanied only by a drum machine), & a demo of never released before song I WANNA DO IT which was destined to forever remain undeveloped due to the demise of the band. Throw in a couple outtakes from our Ecclesall Non-political gig and you have a cornucopia of rare archive tracks!

    The CD comes with Hand cut inlays featuring artwork designed by the band and hand stamped discs which make each one individual and unique. The sound is lo-fi and of bootleg quality due to the source material, nevertheless the manic mayhem & mirth of these performances remains undiminished.

In the tradition of The Mummies & early Cramps bootlegged gigs this is a real live experience - the music on this album is completely live & raw - No Overdubs & features Lo-Fi Bootleg quality live recordings documenting the penultimate gig before they split for good. The gig was organised by The Spud Gun Club and the venue was The Ratners Rest (AKA The Rattener's Rest), owned by the same people as Sheffield's famous Leadmill, but which went into liquidation a year later - but not before Jeff Buckley played there on his first European Tour (and his only ever Sheffield gig). But remember, WE WERE THERE FIRST!
